World End Possibilities

We may have not forgotten the date 21.12.2012. This date was regarded as the end-date of a 5,125-year-long cycle in the Mesoamerican (Mayan) Long Count calendar so the world could end. A New Age interpretation of this transition was that the date marked the start of a period during which Earth and its inhabitants would undergo a positive physical or spiritual transformation, and that 21 December 2012 would mark the beginning of a new era.(Wikipedia). But we are not going to discuss the Mayan calendar here, but the possibility of major devastation could occur to the earth.

We can go through few top most possibilities why our earth could end according to scientists. Almost all are due to man made.

One of the reason scientist believe that the human race could face a major destruction due to a kind of biological weapon as we had Anthrax few years back. That could be much more different and powerful than Anthrax.
The other reason of destruction could be due to scientific experiments like collision of protons at CERN Switzerland. Even though majority of scientists deny some scientist says that experiments like this could create a small black hole. Black holes are exiting in our universe. They appear black as it has immense gravitational power, so even the light can’t escape from it. So this artificially created black hole could move towards center of the earth due to gravity and it will start to eat the earth inside out. Initially slowly but later very quickly.

Next reason could be due to the machines we invented to assist us that is computers. So far it is theme for film, but it is a real possibility. Machine could became much smarter than us so we may not able to cut the power supply in time. This considered as a real possibility after world chess champion beat by a machine few years back. So the ordinary people are nothing for these machines.

Most feared and definite possibility is the climate crisis. Everyone knows that we made our planet warmer than ever. This slow rise in temperature may not be slower always. Significant amount of methane trapped under the Siberian Sea. Methane is 20 times more capable of trap the heat than CO2. Once the temperature reach the tipping point these methane will be released to the atmosphere. Once it get released temperature could rise by at least 6 degree Celsius. So you can imagine the rest.

Next will be the atomic energy. Day by day we are inventing more and more powerful weapons. Significant amounts of countries possessing atomic bombs right now. It is matter of using the first bomb. Even if the destruction does not occur directly to the whole world, life on earth might come to an end due to nuclear winter. So it is only ourselves deciding and making path to our end no one else. And scientist predict that if we survive this century, human race will last longer as there are many chances for a massive disaster to the earth in this century.
